Something to do with one of the so called clubs I think, so best avoided.

There was one of these a few years ago a few miles from me, and I was invited to go and have a stand there. It was only a small FoL by the local area division but was quite fun.

The one that the OP is referring to and Fontie linked to is a national event and looks like it should be fun (and pretty decent value for a family with the entertainment that is being included).
Why a festival organised by the C&CC should be rediculed, but a similar event by a big organisation like Warners is deemed brilliant is strange. Some kind of snobbery maybe?

Oh I'm looking forward to it now, my tickets arrived this morning. Looks like lots of fun for the family....unless there's a murder on the dance floor

I am not going, but I nearly did get tickets. Only reason why not is that it is a bit too expensive for ME as I would not be going with/as a family.
As a Family outing, I think it will be good and I bet you will have a great time (y)

I think it is sort of the equivalent to the CAMC national rally (that is now called something else)

We are going, we went last year too, it’s was £200 last year, £275 this year without electric but we had a fabulous time. One point to note there is a humpback bridge going in so plan your route if you have a long rig.

We will be there for ten days but working hard as volunteers with the CCC crew.
We've not been before but only heard positive feedback about last year.
Looking forward to it ( if it stops raining)

My sister went last year with the grandchild and had a blast! The grandchildren are young teenagers and were safe enough to go around on their own in the day time together. She said there was loads of entertainment for them and her & hubby included in the ticket price and she felt it was good value.

In the early 1990's we used to attend the National Feast of Lanterns we was a excellent few days for families. When i purchased my van in 2016 was looking forward to going again a very pale imitation, i was so disappointed. They changed the name too the torch light festival but it is a bit expensive for my taste.

It has gone up in price from £200 last year to £270 this year, that's without EHU, still thought given the quality of entertainment it was good value. I'll go next year but expect it to be up in price again by quite a bit.

If it goes up much more I won't go unfortunately. But you can't argue it was great.
