Something just doesn't look right with the BSA, anyone?

Not an expert but I wouldn't touch it.

I had a BSA A10 as a project once. It ran - eventually.

I would not touch it either.

One of the major problems with projects that unless they are something that is really special.

They cost more than buying a working bike unless u have a shed full of suitable bits.

No matter how much it costs to restore you will only have a bike worth somewhere around £3000 to £4500. :)

Scrap Steel fetches about 9p a kilo I think

£300 for the engine as it is, £200-500 for the frame, £100 -200 for the Front brake.

Another £500 - 800 for the rest.

I was amazed how much bits went for when I broke my Greeves and B31. :xThumb:

Forks are wrong . They look too long to me as it someone tried to make it a chopper . Not sure the head stock is at the right angle either , but that could be just the picture . There looks a lot of space between the front wheel and engine .

Basket case , i would walk on . trying to find original forks will be a nightmare .

Not really a project. It needs far to much now to make it viable.

I would steer clear aswell, gonna be a money pitt imo

Fork stanchions are longer than stock, hence the chopper look (side stand has also been extended to make it work)

If buying for restoration, always go for the most complete bike you can find - it will still be a money pit, but slightly less so!

Only two things wrong I could see: extended fork legs and it's a British twin :xgrin:.
