Hi, I am thinking of going from 15 inch to 225 75 16 rims too accommodate uprating gvw but it looks like it may be tight getting the cover over the spare wheel with the new rim size, my van is a 2012 autotrail, it's along shot but just wondering if anyone done this tyre swap and know if the cover fitted OK.
I know on newer vans on 16inch it's a different shaped cover but whether that is for asthetic or needed reasons.

Surely the OD should remain the same if you get a lower profile tyre?

Pop into a tyre place and ask to test fit a tyre .

I need to go to tyres with a load rating greater than can be purchased in 15inch sizes, already at 3850 and hoping to go to 4250kg.

Hi, I'll measure my spare wheel cover in a bit.

I think you may need to fit spacers plus don't forget to tell your insurance company as technically it's a modification.

Thanks for info, a couple of local motorhome dealers had my year of vehicle in stock on 16inch rims so been and cheekily measured the covers and they appear to be the same as mine so hopefully all good.
