Best place to stop at Antwerp?
Travelling there tomorrow having spent Christmas at Bruge and currently at Gent.
Have a couple of ideas but maybe someone has a better idea. Not bothered about electric but would like other services and have access to city centre either walking or by bus.

If memory serves me right, I think I have received some advice about Antwerp from this member. Apologies if I am wrong.
I still prefer to stay away but he knows it better than I.

Certain areas of Antwerp you have to register your reg number online for the low emission zones, you probably have already done it if you went the Gent.

I liked Antwerp when we went 3 or 4 years ago. Surprised me.
Can’t remember the location of the aire but found it on Camper Contact and was handy for the tram.

There used to be one close to the Crowne Plaza, which was on the ring road. Good bus access to the city. Only saw it out of the window and it was a few years ago

Personally I would stay outside of Antwerp if you want to stay for a few days, look for a site near Essen or Kalmthout, both have train stations and are nice places to stay, trains are very cheap and you have direct short train rides into Antwerp , the main station is close to all the highlights, Walk from the train station over the Meir to the big square ( grote markt ) with the beautiful city hall and the cathedral only a couple of hundreds yards away, if you are in Antwerp on a Sunday visit the vogeltjesmarkt, it’s a very old traditional market just of the Meir ( Meir is the main shopping street, the big market square is yards away from de schelde river, a walk along that part to het steen, is a must, please find something called the vlaaikensgang, one of the smallest alley’s in Antwerp , some lovely restaurants in there, beautiful medieval buildings, also ask for the Pelgrom restaurant and pub, one of the biggest underground cellars in Antwerp , it’s an amazing place to eat and drink in the evening👍
