Looks like my MH tyres need changing due to age.

Not exactly sure what I need to change them to though.
Currently on Continentals 235/65 R16 C 121/119R
...I can't find this as an option for Continental Camper tyres, perhaps it's a VAN tyre and not a motorhome tyre?

Can someone recommend a suitable replacement. MH is a 3.9tonne Rapido 999M.

Do I need Camper tyres, or will van tyres work just as well?

Thanks.

Van tyres will be just fine, I bought my last ones from Camskill tyres.

The crucial part for you is the 121/119 rating given your max weight .. have a look at the continental tech manual you can download online free

Those are commercial van tyres, with an excellent load rating.

I'd be happy with them, providing they are the correct size for the prime mover, as per the handbook.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Thanks for the input everyone.

Happy that I can use normal van tyres. The manual (Sprinter) gives a few different options for sizes, but I'd guess I'll stick with what's on there.

I think I'm going for the Continental Van Contact 200's. The 100's are more rugged, and the 200's are a softer ride, apparently.

Kwik-Fit looks the cheapest (around £180 fitted), unfortunately, I hate Kwik-Fit, but I guess with tyres they can't attempt to rip you off too much.

I'll get it booked in after the Peterborough show, and probably keep reading until then..
