Just starting out....
As we wont be using the MoHo for about 4 weeks and the weather is getting colder I took the precaution of draining down the fresh water tank but now I'm reading that the empty tank attracts bacteria . How long is it safe to leave the tank empty before it needs cleaning ( with something like Pura Clean) prior to use again?

TIA

We drain down after each visit this time of year. Have had vans now for 11 years. It’s only this year have I started using sterilising tablets because we now use an aqua roll and 12 volt pump. We don’t use the water for drinking, however, do use it for cleaning teeth! No adverse effects so far. Timescales between jaunts varies.

dont forget the water heater too. These are very expensive if caught out by frost.

4 weeks shouldn't be a problem even in the frozen north. 4 months might be but it depends on temperature and the quality of the water that's been in it. Since that can be an unknown quantity outside the UK I always throw a purifier tablet or two in the tank when I fill up and we don't drink the water except when it's been boiled.
As the man said, if it looks like it might freeze make sure the boiler is drained too and all the pipework. Personally I don't believe it's necessary to blow out every last drop, just make sure all the taps are open when draining and leave them open so things can expand if necessary. If you're doubtful you can always run some fresh water through when you refill to get rid of any stale water that's stayed in the pipes.
