Has anyone seen a layout like the one the travel beans have hired in this video? Ive not watched all the video so cant say yet how well it worked overall but their first impressions are very positive. I havent spotted a shower or toilet though!!!

Optional Bunk beds at the back (only bottom one in use and with a side barrier to make into a playpen) and a drop down double by the size door.

No loo, baby next to a stove, shouldn't say too much our grandchildren slept in the overcab, only one, youngest girl ever tried to climb over it.
like the drop down bed but think this has some good ideas could be much better designed, depends on what you want/need

I winced when I saw the baby seat on the worktop, not ideal!!!!!!

But I was asking about the layout. There is a trend for manufacturers to fit pop tops to PVCs in order to add a couple more berths whereas this one sleeps four (Well 2+2) within the van. It is a self conversion now being used for rental so wont be as finished as a manufactured one.

Will a manufacturer experiment with a similar layout (or has one already tried?)

Me yet again!

By coincidence, my February 2024 Camping and Caravan club magazine arrived in the post today and there is a 4 page article about this van in it

Just read the article in CCC mag. It seems the conversion was primarily for a wheelchair user and no washroom to make extra space. Did say the out side shower water was heated though 🤔
Also the upper bunk was rated for a 65kgs person.
I'm sure the conversion was fine, but I wondered about the payload. The wooden bits were made out of tropical hardwood.
