I heard on a FB group about an app being used to successfully identify a spider from a photograph. The app is called Opsidentify and is free.

I've loaded it on my phone and tested it on a photograph I took a couple of weeks ago while staying at the Totnes CMC site. This is the photo:

I thought it would struggle as there is ivy growing around it but no, after a couple of seconds it suggested it was 97% confident it was Hemlock Water-dropwort, which indeed it is as there was a warning notice nearby with images of this poisonous plant.

Very impressive! I'm using Android but I expect there is an Apple version.

I looked out for the plant when we were at Totnes last weekend but couldn’t find it and just hoped the dog wouldn’t. I did get some nice mint for a mint sauce from the herb beds over the road though. Well I am still here so I think it was mint! 🙂
Liked the site and managed not to plug so avoided the new metered charges.

It was only just starting to grow so isn't very obvious at the moment.

We did plug into the electrics and from memory the price was about 37p per KWh which was reasonable I think. It is a clever system, all controlled from a website where you can see how much you have used and the cost.

Yes, spoke to someone who had used £10 in 24 hrs, it was a very cold few nights though. We had heating on all the time even overnight which is rare for us, and was going to refill tank at Marquis but oddly, they are closed on Sundays! Might wait till we get to Spain. Was still £70 for 2 nights without EHU and the club said they were going to reduce charges on metered sites!
