Hello, following a recent incident with a low tunnel, I’m struggling to find a replacement corner aluminium strip. I know an exact piece is asking a lot, but even something I could work with. It’s for a 2005 Lunar Champ. I’ve tried a couple of caravan type salvagers but no luck. Any advice much appreciated!

Any good.

I think it's more of an L profile Lenny so it covers the corner rather than just a flat surface, I think the OP has posted this before and I suggested that if the profile wasn't available it might be better to just tidy up what is there and then mould a fibreglass cap to cover the damage then the same for the other side to make it look right ;)

Thanks for the replies, yes I’d found that Magnum part, might give it a go, bending to the curve be a challenge! Yes I remember you mentioning the fibre glass suggestion, still could be something to try! I guess I’m hoping incase someone had come across a partially formed L corner bead, even off a caravan. Got a few more weeks before I go for it! :X3:

A curve will be near impossible to form from an L shaped strip.
It will kink rather than bend.
You would think so but the website says, "Soft aluminum molding which can be easy hand mounted round corners and even lutons"

Yes I had the same thoughts, bending an L shape goes against everything an L form is supposed to do! But thought of some heat and a pre cut bit of shaped timber. Toolmaker by trade so can’t help but think there must be a way!

I don't see how.
The face being bent is easy but the other face will have to be compressed to prevent buckling or it will expend in thickness if it didn't buckle.
