Altera STRADA wobbling

I have two e-bikes on the back of my AS Nuevo with an Altera strada hitch rack. They seem to wobble a lot on the back, any suggestions on improving this? I am going to refit the rack this afternoon.

We had one of those racks a few years ago, it wasn’t wobbly for us. Is there not a red/green coloured indicator to show when correctly installed on the tow bar? If so, what colour is/was shown when the rack was wobbly? Was it wobbly when no bikes were loaded? Are you within max weight limit of the rack when loading bikes?

The red green thing is showing correctly and still wobbling a bit. When no bikes on a lot less wobble, within max weight now that I have taken batteries off. Is this normal?

Thats exactly how mine was.

Is the whole rack wobbling or just the bikes ?

If just the bikes that are moving, and the rack is steady, you could use additional nylon straps or bungees to make them more stable ..

I just bought a Thule VeloCompact 924 2-Bike Carrier
(there is a thread on it) and the two e-bikes are rock steady
