Alpe D' Huez Aire

There is an aire for Motorhomes in Alpe D- up past the centre of the village past Les Bergers - follow the signs for the Altiport and go past the Club Med ; very near the big posh villas LHS the turn for the aire is last road on the Right.
The Aire is in what was the bus stop /car park for Altiport - 6 or so spaces but more vans in odd spaces and cars in van spaces of course. Old sign painted over says it was 4 euros - now it is free ! {I asked A Man in a Van ] Says there is water and black dump; public loo on side of car park; but looked frozen over to me . Lovely views, but need chocks as slopes. One UK van only- is it you ?

Kirsten, how far was this new Aire from the nearest lift station please?

If I remember, the old aire was only about 300-400 yards from the lifts, but the Altiport was some distance the other way.

I think you would need to get the free shuttle bus to the lift station- unless you could walk over the road from the altiport and ski down into Les Bergers. It was about a 15 min hike (no skis just me walking up for a nose ) from the main road where the old aide met the ski station
DEFINITELY need to get the bus back tho.
