Sat in van after sitting most of the day, only driven about 20 miles today. Wife checked on panel to see state of water levels. She noticed the van (fiat) battery was 11v and flashing red. I checked that nothing was switched on, only thing is fridge and that's on gas. Engine started on first turn so I'm confused. Been okay since we bought our moho 6 years ago. Is it just time for a new one ??

Checked our USB port that also shows battery voltage and it shows 13.3v, is it the control panel ??

What battery is the USB powered from?

If the battery is 6 years old, you have done well. They usually go south before that.

A multimeter direct on the battery will confirm. They can sometimes start reliably when knackered until the cold weather arrives and they die.

When I had a parisitic drain I found the reversing camera (aftermarket) was powered 24/7 and the radio/cd player was using power even when off!!!
2 new online power switches later and no more(very little) power drain on the battery.
It needs a little power to hold the memory on the radio/cd player 👍😁😎

The van fiat surely is the front starter battery. And you checked the usb voltage of the rear habitation battery? Surely you should check the starter

It's the Fiat starter battery under the passenger floor, can't test anything as nothing to test it with. We're on way to Ireland now. The hab batteries are fine.
The USB is powered from Fiat battery so maybe it's the control panel that's wrong ?

I could be the panel, but without checking what voltage receives at the back via the feeds, hard to say. Could be a bit of corrosion, loose connection, or else.

Does your fridge work from 12V when the engine is running? I know that sounds completely unrelated, but there is a separate power wire from the starter battery to run the fridge 12V element when the engine is running, and it also is the wire that the control panel uses to measure the starter battery voltage.

There will be some fuses just next to the starter battery: a 50A for the main power to the EBL, a 20A for the fridge/voltage measurement wire, and another 2A or 5A for the D+ signal from the alternator that tells the EBL that the engine is running. So check that 20A fuse. And what model number is the EBL 12V fusebox?

The manual for the EBL 99 is on the Lippert website (Lippert and Schaudt merged recently), in the Support Documentation, in the Power On Board section. There are several variants, A to K, and they may or may not have the OverVoltage Protection (OVP) module. They are basically very similar. There is a wiring diagram somewhere at the end. The wire I refer to is on Pin1 of Block2 (the 5-way connector).
