My Hymer has an Alko chassis and is rated at 3850kg, 2000kg for both axles.

How do I know if I can uprate it ? as a similar Hymer has a 4500kg weight limit

This is the plate on the side, am I correct in thinking stuffe3 means it's the third plate, and it's already been uprated at Hymer ?
Is there a plate on the Alko chassis as well ?

It is on the AMC light chassis, yes it's had a factory uprate to 3850kg and has uprated front springs standard are 1850kg.

You might struggle running a DL at 3850kg, ours was a 678 were ran at around 4200 to 4300kg on a 4500kg chassis.

You can uprate the rear axle to 2240kg by fitting semi or full air to the rear. If you have 15" wheels you would need to change the tyres to 225 section should be OK with 16" wheels.

We already have 16" 225 wheels. I'll have a look at semi air
Semi air on rear approx £3k, full air on rear approx £6k & full air 4C air £9k. We had full 4C air on our DL well worth it.
Only problem with the DL VB doesn't work on it leaves the rear end too low. We had it fitted d they had to take it off, had to get Goldsmittch full air fitted.
