Alde heating not working

Hi we are in Spain with our new Kon Tiki on the site our Electrial supply shows a live and a neutral but no earth on our Electrial tester would that stop our Alde heating working the power limiter is set to 1kw but it will not turn on any ideas

Have you looked at the manual fault guide..?

You will hardly notice it on 1kw, to check if it’s working touch your glycol tank and see if it’s warm.

Does the display show the pump running?

We've had this or similar on our last two vans if the heating hasn't been used in a while. I fire up the system on gas then change over to electric later, that's worked for us.

What year is your motorhome? I’d you have the colour display then you can see the temperature of the actual heating and sanitary to see if the temperature rises, but on 1kw it will take ages to feel any heat, better to run it on gas and electric to get the heat through then maintain with electric.

No earth is immaterial to the heater.
It just means if there's a live short to earth the RCD won't trip and whatever it's shorted to will be a shock hazard.

1 Kw is not enough to get the van warm. Best to use it on gas and once it is up to temperature the electrics may be able to keep it warm, as long as you do not open the doors for long.
