Can’t believe I am posting this ‘again’ but it has caught me out again 🤔🙄

Our Alde electric heating has failed as reported in a different thread

Came home last weekend filling our twin 11kg bottles on the way , due to cold weather chose to leave heating at 7C hoping gas would last a good while

Checked today, bottle 1 had already ran out 😳 7 cold nights but still 🤔

Then remembered ‘night setting’ 10-7 we have set to 16C, so for the last week overnight the boiler will have been going flat out to get up to 16C each night

Feel daft particularly as I think I posted similar a few years ago 🙄 but hope to save someone else a bit of excess fuel cost 👍

Not a fan of Alde heating. We have a kontiki 884 tag axle. It can only carry a 6 and 11kg. The alde heating uses 240g per hour (almost 1kg in 4 hrs) the fridge used .5kg in 24 hrs plus hot water. Our very fist trip away was sub zero, we were sat in the van loving life toasty warm. I emptied a 6 kg in 24 hrs. I use the heating a little better now but would still only manage 6 days in these temps.
