Just a heads up really, if you want the fluid change by Alde themselves in Wellingborough its now £440, last time i had this done in 2019 it was £200 so a massive increase but i guess it's like everything it's all more expensive. Also they are booking way out till mid April now.

That works out over £80 a year just for the fluid change, unless you use your van heavily. During the winter, you really have to wonder If alde heating is worthwhile over blown air?

Cheap enough to change your own fluid?
not for me as apparently you need specialist tools to sort out the air blocks (so i was told), when mine was done they had terrible issues sorting out constant air locks (they being the engineers in Vera - Spain) when the pipe burst. Like everything if you have the tools its easy but its now very very expensive. maybe they dont want to do that sort of work and just want to supply the hardware so pricing it astronomically is trying to put people off.

Just looked on their site £296 for "c" class motorhome or £440 for a class, what difference does it make, unless heat exchanger involved?

Usually i would say can't be any difference really between the 2, for me mine is a tag axle so i guess we have more to bleed and replace than most but even so it's quite a big increase but what can you do aside from doing it yourself. I guess you could get a certified ALDE heating engineer in but then you rely on them being as good as you expect and for me that has never been successful.
