If the sensor battery fails does the switch fail in the open or closed position?

I found the alarm goes off randomly on my Autowatch. At a guess maybe be due to temperature fluctuation when the battery is low.
I think the switches are NC. I've also had the alarm going off intermittently when the glass reed is cracked.

When the battery dies on the wireless contacts on our AutoWatch alarm the contact can no longer transmit a signal if the magnet moves away from the contact sensor, so the alarm does not get triggered.

Mine did, I fitted Duracell batteries and the alarm kept going off some of the new batteries were down at 2.9v. Fitted new chepo batteries, never gone wrong since.
I agree with your theory but doesn't seem to work in practice.

Ours take the theory route as I opened lockers before now having forgotten to unset the alarm which then indicated that the battery in the sensor had died.
CR2032 cells for the most part are crap and the only ones I have found to be any good are made by Toshiba, but they are not easy to find.

Been using some branded "100% Peak Power" from Amazon they have been really good about a fiver for 20, bought originally for some Christmas lights and found them really good so bought some for the van and they have not let me down.

I have a Moving Intelligence alarm system with wireless sensors. There is a red LED on the sensor. Can anyone tell me what the LED is supposed to do and what it signifies.

I think it is just an indication that the sensor is working.
I was told that if it goes dim (or doesn't light up) the internal battery is flat.
I change my batteries once per year as a precaution.

Does it flash or is it permanently lit?
