been asking some of my motorhome pals and some dont have alarms as they dont rate because they cause problems but all have Trackers fitted ,,

Is Gemeni alarm any good??? my dealer says he will fit one for £650
or Is Vanbitz ,or phoenix better ???

I have decided not to go with my van suppliers deal Timberland MH as they are only offering Gemeni and also Some unknown solar panels and not an MPPT controller for £1500 ,

I want Motorhome workshop to fit some of their excellent solar panels and Mppt unit etc but they say they are booked up until September and i need them fitted by 20th August , shame as they are only 5 minutes from me ,,, so looking for a really good solar panel supplier installer ,,also looking for a good alarm fitting company that can do the job with a really decent alarm before 20th August in SE England althoughI could travel and stay overnight elsewhere ???

I have a Gemini alarm and tracker with Phantom. I have to say that the tracker & alarm response is excellent. When I set it off inadvertently they immediately send a text to say they will be calling you and then call within a minute, very quick. I opted for the lifetime fee of £599 at the time so no additional fees for the life of the van while I own it. Not had any issues with false alarms other than when I accidentally press the button in my pocket!

However, I would definitely look at Growler if I had a new to me van as I think it offers more bespoke solutions for motor homes and a highly regarded.

I would suggest doing a pro’s and cons sheet for any systems that you review so you can compare costs of install & ongoing cost, features, response times etc.

I’m checking out alarms and trackers when new van arrives. Growler System looks very good but it’s the distance travelling from Newcastle if I’ve got any problems with it, as I can have a phantom tech at my home address.
