Hi All,
Never been to France in a MoHo. So the question is what is the best Aires book to buy. Thanking everyone in advance.

If you get camper contact you will have the Aires and sites at your finger tips plus the rest of Europe.

We use these as an initial guide but apps like park4night or searchforsites are more up to date

Same here, I like to thumb through the book and then cross reference it through p4n/sfs

I ended up giving our All the Aires books to a American who was on holiday touring in a rented motorhome and just use Park4night as I like the up to date comments.

I had a copy of Camperstop Europe as a Christmas present some years back. A heavy tome but useful for general browsing. The apps are most useful for finding sites within a radius of your current location. They don't lend themselves to general browsing IMHO. Having said that, I have six apps on my phone!

Books are a waste of time, out of date before they are printed.

Apps are far better as you can link straight to mapping apps then look at the place on satellite view etc., & you get upto date reviews.

For us,
Camper Contact we find the most reliable.

Search for Sites is quite good (very good for UK), the problem I find with it is that it often only list a few of the many places in an area. Also I take the reviews with a pinch of salt as most of them are written by Brits that expect campsite facilities on an Aire.

Park4Night we only use as a last resort OK if you have a very small camper but for anything much bigger you need to read the reviews very carefully, also often the coordinates are wrong.

I-Camping Car is an excellent website for all the French aires de camping car. Obviously it's in French but despite that you'd have no problem, most everything is diagrammatical. It has a section to download POI's to your favourite satnav if that is your thing too.
