Aircon plastic casing marked.

As per title, the aircon casing on the roof is marked, probably by the sun.

I know people won't really see it but, whilst cleaning the roof the other day, I thought I'd have a go at seeing if I could get it to look any better.

I used a concentrated amount of car shampoo and a stiff brush (oo-er missus!) but it didn't make any difference.

I don't want to go all 'bull in a china shop' on it and risk damaging the plastic (maybe brittle due to age?) , and I definitely don't want to get up on the roof (get dizzy if I wear thick socks)..

Any ideas?

Not much you can do as you say..could be a bit brittle. I'd bear with it unless you want to take it off and try a full plastic refurb and clean with detergents and maybe peroxide..then paint ?

New ones are about 160.00

Clean it off and spray it in white?
obv make sure you mask the area and wear safety mask blah blah ...but it should make it look better and hopefully stop the sun further damaging it?
