Airbag warning light on.

Do i need to go to peugeot to get this fixed. (Peugeot boxer Autosleeper 2019 model)Is there anyway i can fix this myself or does it need to be reset by a specialist.

It will probably need a new airbag ECU, it's a very common problem costs about £450 to have a new one fitted.
Don't bother with companies that offer repairs they often fail a short time after and you don't get a warranty.

Just had it sorted today. Ecu was sent away for repair ( eBay shows a few companies), repair cost £55 plus £8 postage. Repaired unit was replaced and works fine. My local garage sorted it total cost £158. I wouldn't have have done it myself because of no access to diagnostic equipment.

There is a module located below the centre console that needs attention. You can get it out and have it repaired but the general consensus on most forums seems to be getting it done professionally.

I found this issue when looking to buy and was surprised the makers haven't taken responsibility for such a common issue and sorted it long term.

I bought new part off a motor spares company. DIY Removal and fitting about half hour while the wife made a cuppa.
The new part then needed " proxy alignment". I was going to get the software but had no windows laptop to install it on. Local garage did it for £40.

You need to double check for the right unit, these people are close to me so was able to pop in and collect one. Was told that often the converters change or have different ECU fitted depending on the motorhome model so standard commercial van are not the same.

Do these companies offer any sort of warranty? There are suggestions that such companies do not.

One would have to check with particular company but I know of other people who have had successful results. My view was given it a go before spending out on a new unit at c.£260 plus refit.
