Looking for advice please! Our old roof fitted air conditioning unit is broken. The new units won’t fit the existing hole in the roof without hitting the ridge on the Nuevo roof as the units are longer. Does anyone know if you can fit the units side to side instead of front to back. The dealer doing the work said that this isn’t recommended but we can’t understand why. It’s a 240 volt unit so only gets used when the van is on hook up.
I hope this post makes sense, asking on behalf of husband who understands these things a bit - I don’t have a clue. Really frustrated with the dealer who has had the van 3 months to do this work.
Hoping some of you lovely people can help!

If it isnt fitted in accordance with manufacturer instructions it would most likely void any warranty , so if the cover failed due to aerodynamic loads, or leaked , etc you would be on your own

Thank you, we hadn’t even thought of that aspect🥴. We were totally fixated on the fact that they sold us a van with air con that wasn’t working & we wanted it replaced. We only travel in the UK, so the number of days we would use air con is limited. The dealer suggested Fiamma Turbo Vents instead, we’ve just done some research and think these are a better option for us. Thanks for taking time to reply.

We have Fan-tastic:vents similar to Maxxfan and we never use the air con at all that we also have.
