A returner after a 10 year gap
We have a 2000 Hymer B574 on a Ducatto chassis. The factory fitted air con is duff and needs a new compressor and condenser.

Fiat can supply the compressor for £1,500! The condenser is not available at all. So far, only my excellent mechanic has been on the task.

Can anyone suggest a specialist or other supplier who might be able to help, or even how to find the correct Fiat part numbers to look for aftermarket or rebuilt parts.

Thanks folks.

May I suggest if your man cannot source the parts he may be the wrong man!
ebay have lots of choice on condensers and I suggest you may not need a compressor as some of them will not engage if there is no gas in the system, certainly was the case in my Mercedes’ which I had repaired a month ago.
Condenser cost me £52, regas £40 and fitting £40 so all in all a cheap fix

I put my 2002 b524 to the garage to sort the aircon. Condenser was okay but the a/c guy said probably worth changing it. Garage found that part no problem but fiat don't make the high pressure hose anymore (mine had a hole in it) so they apparently couldn't fix it.

The fiat professional (?) website can find the parts if you enter your VIN number. It can be a little frustrating using it though.

Don't think the condenser will be too hard to find.
