Air bag and seat belt alarm

Have just been to get van from store, battery was flat, so, used a power pack and it started first time, however, on driving away have the air bag and seat belt alarm on the dash ????? am sure other people must have had this issue with the 'Fiat Ducato' any advice please will be appreciated........ must say I'm getting to the end of my tether with this van after spending thousands just trying to have a nice retirement !!!!

Ouch. You probably fried your airbag ECU.

Common if you try jump start.

Sorry to be bearer of bad news

Just occasionally they reset after 50+miles

Search on here Air bag ECU, either a loose/damaged connection under a front seat or more likely air bag ECU £400 ish

It will drive normally but in the event of an accident air bags won't deploy

Just no airbag if you crash,
Some folk have been fine with getting them repaired others it's been a waste of time.

Mine showed a fault until the ECU was replaced.
We used Northern Autotech. A search on the forum will bring up many previous posts on this subject.

Seems cheapest way to renew is buy from eBay(several sellers of genuine) get local garage /auto electrician (with good diagnostics to fit. Only 10 mins to fit and a bit more to align(programme)
