Hardware, the processors have NPU capabilities on the silicone. If your using AI tools locally they make a massive difference, if your using chatgpt not a sausage of difference as they do it their end.

Edit: yes I bought one for my work device. One thing I've noticed (Dell Latitude 5550) is the battery life is insane, Ultra 7 165u.

Good - used it for 8 hours down to 40%. Nothing heavy though, bbc radio on and then general office apps and such. General specs:
Ultra 7 165u
32gb RAM
512Gb M2
