We will be coming back from Spain in mid December up the A10/N10 route and will be needing a vet that can do the worming and sign the AHC. I thought that Tours seems big enough. Planning to head up to Calais via Le Mans and Alencon after that.

I have tried a few from the Google maps overlay but not had a reply to the emails I sent a fortnight ago.... Then I thought that there will be Funsters that have experience of vets in this area.

Cheers.

I often smaller places are easier than big cities. We were going to go to Buchy, they have an online booking system recommended by funsters, but ideally want one next Tuesday and they seem tobe closed that day.
A bit further towards the ports so may not suit your plans.

Just realised why next tuesday vet closed, 1st November is a National holiday, all vets will be closed and shops etc.

Buchy can do what you want, pretty much any vet can in the EU, but whilst there you'd be better off getting a pet passport then you won't need an AHC again in the future.

I think that I have seen it reported that this vet will not longer do a Pet Passport, I think the French government has seen to that for most, if not all, french vets.
We have tricky decisions now as wanted Tuesday vet for Thursday tunnel, checking 9 am so Wed morning no good, not sure we want to be in cooler north at Buchy on Monday. The clocks going back also throwing out my calculations!
Currently consulting the useful google map of vets that funsters have used.

That's the overlay I have been working through... Will have to get French speaking Mrs Moto to ring as emails not getting a reply.
