Afternoon all

I am looking to upgrade the audio unit in our 2011 Hymer B544 and just wondered if anyone has a good solution for an aftermarket DAB Aerial that works?

I am going to install a double din apple car play unit although not decided on what make/model so happy to hear any recommendations on this too.

Thanks in advance.

Simon

I should have added that I have also found some speaker cables in the dash that are not attached to any speakers - without stating the obvious, I assume these are for adding extra speakers or connecting a TV to the factory fitted speakers?

Suggest popping into Halfords and have chat and a play with the units, .. they have a good range and also advise on a DAB aerial ..

Daughter had one fitted by Halfords which included a new facia plate for her Ford KA .. and they did a good job .. they can also supply any connectors / adapters needed for installing with the steering wheel controls

I went for a Kenwood DAB double din touch screen (can’t recall the numbers) that has wireless Apple car play and Android auto, it also incorporates the rear view camera and hands free telephone. In hindsight I would have chosen the cheaper wired one as I always attach my phone anyway to keep it charged.
I had it fitted by a local car high fi place and they just used one of those stick to the side window DAB aerials and so far it’s been great.
Personally I wouldn’t include Halfords in the process.

My tuppence is to forget the aerial and stream radio via Bluetooth to the cab radio from your phone.
Much more stable and no interference.
It only uses a small amount of data and is all I usually do now unless it's a very short drive when I go back to FM crackle and hiss

I have an aerial similar to this one, works really well and hardly noticeable.
