I have difficulty sometimes when reversing onto a pitch at night - the reversing lamps do not offer a wider arc. If I could purchase a couple of portable spotlights that swivel and have a suck base I could mount one each side of the motorhome, set to the correct angle and begin the reversing manoeuvre, remembering of course to turn them on! This would only be done on private land - touring Park, car park etc. Has anyone tried this?

buy a rechagreable spot light from screwfix it will light up the whole area ive got one of these for fishing and it lights up a hundred yards of beach
you could even make a bracket or steel mounting plate but if you place it down on the ground it will light up the area

Solution
On my old Navara, the OEM reverse light was crap. I mounted a bright LED work light below the rear bumper, switched from the cab. It was like daylight behind with that turned on

Thank you both. I will visit the local Screwfix in town.

Cheaper from here even with delivery.

They are water proof very bright and have a control switch had them on every yacht we have had
I can’t see why they would not be ok for a Moho.

they move up down left and right.

Update:
Thanks to the timely post from Minxy I purchased 2 x Luceco LED Compact Recharageable Magnetic Work Light 7.5W at £19.14inc Vat each from Builder Depot. The only place that the magnets would work was against the Cab doors. They held fast and testing the idea out whilst the mho was on the drive at night was good and probably would work when I need them at night-time reversing. Because they are good at holding and because the screws securing the magnets are only countersunk by about 0.5 - 1mm I decided to look for an alternative location. At the rear of the moho there is an unused bike rack. It is not used because even Mr Universe would struggle to secure an electric bike - a waste of money. Anyway, it has come in handy for hanging both of the lamps from it. I searched for a suitable size piece of metal in my 'Man Cave' but none could be found. Then I remembered an old satellite tuner awaiting to be recycled, so I stripped it down and used its external cover as the base plate for the lamps. I then bent it around the bike rack to allow it to hang, drilled a couple of holes to thread some shockcord and found a bobble. The net result achieves the goal of having better reversing ability when on a touring site. And even better, once again, I am thankful in resisting the constant 'command' to tidy up MY Man Cave sanctuary🤣😂
A future project will be to work out how to utilise the bike rack.

Reminds me of the time I wanted a ladder 'barrier', ie a piece of metal which went over the fixed rear ladder to prevent it being climbed ... I'd bought a Fiamma one but it was too narrow so you could still get a foot hold to climb up, in order to make it a better fit I used the skin off an old fridge door and got the lads at work to bend it to shape in the press at work so it fitted snugly round the sides of the ladder, then attached the Fiamma one to it, it worked a treat.

I bet you were like me as a child, playing with their beloved Meccano sets and having to use loads of iniative in replacing missing parts!

I was a Lego lover! Loads of stuff made out of it and also tinkering in my dad's shed making stuff! :giggle:
