My aerial on my tracker LB is all wobbly and will not tighten up it's a maxview gazelle pro how hard is it to swop it for a new one does it mean all the inside has to come out of is it just a case of fitting a new one to the roof on the outside .

Hi John,

Unfortunately there is a fair bit of work involved. You will need to remove the 'head' from the 'foot', by undoing the big bolt that goes through the top. You will then need to remove the foot from the roof (which has the long Coax cable attached). There are 3 fixing methods here, a clamp on the inside of the vehicle you need to undo, screws inside the foot going into the roof (might not be used on your antenna) and then the silicone sealant/adhesive underneath the foot. However you won't need to change the booster inside the vehicle or any of the power wiring to it, or coax from it to your TV.

Then you can fit a replacement foot in the exact same place as the old one, with no need to make the roof hole bigger. Seal it, screw it and clamp it to the roof, and run the internal coax cable to your existing booster. Then the head just attaches to it with 4 screws.

If you need any more help call us on 01553 811000 or email on support@maxview.co.uk.
