Hi I have 2x 110 lead acid batteries fitted we only run a compressor fridge overnight plus leds and charging phones in winter in Portugal we manage just about on long winter night's, with solar we are charged up by about 9 to 9.30am I have purchased two AGM 85 amp batteries would I be better of dropping the AGM batteries in I personally don't know either way.
Thanks in anticipation
Plus can I fit the AGM batteries with the lead acid batteries.

I run a 110 amp lead and 95 ah agm in parallel on a separate system with an external portable solar panel. Have done for 3 years or so with no issues. But I am replacing them with lithium later in the year when I get time to change them over
Never had any issues.

You can run the AGMs much lower than the lead acid so you effectively have 110Ah of lead Acid stored and 140Ah of AGM so - the winner is AGM 👍

AGM would be my last choice standard lead acid would be better and more reliable.
If fitting AGM you must make sure all your chargers have the correct profile also there are two types of AGM and they require different charging profiles.
2 vans ago I had 2 AGM's they lasted 18 months.
