Hi all we are looking for advice on our tour 2022 starting soon for 6 weeks if health holds up.

We need advice of good stops from north east France Monday am through the Black Forest, Baden Baden area down the 500 then onto Friedrichshafen where we have an appointment and camp from Wednesday evening. Another Bucket List item is to go through the forest but don't know where to stop.

Next advice we will probably head South from the following Monday and into Spain Wednesday until following Wednesday. We are newbies into Spain in a MH and will enter via le Perthus, down to around Barcelona, please advise park ups etc.

We have a 6.8 metre MH with lots of sun power so fairly self sufficient. Our dog (Border Terrier) will be with us, she has a French Passport, no bikes on the back, any advice will be helpful.

After Spain we will be travelling through France via The Lot and Normandy.

they may be able to help as they have visited and toured german land .....

I wouldn't bother with the Black Forest and head straight for the Bodensee and Friedrichshafen. (spend the time in Lindau and Mainau, and Bregenz, etc. )

Hi Des & Dek. :)

That sounds like a great trip. (y)

I can't specifically name overnight stops as there are so many throughout France, Belgium and Germany, but you can easily do Calais to Trier on the Mosel, in one day. On the Mosel & Rhine, there are Stellplatz all the way along, and right down to Baden Baden. MHs are very much welcomed, but I do suggest that you don't do more than 3 x hours driving a day. Sometimes the next stop is only 20 x minutes along the road, ie, "Oh, that looks like a nice stopover, lets pull in." ;)

I would advise looking at Camper Contact, Search For Sites, and Park4Night free online, but subscribe to the first two for their phone/tablet Apps, which are ideal for planning overnight stops with descriptions, photos, and coordinates for your Sat Nav.

Germany is a beautiful country, but try to make sure you arrive at your next stopover by early afternoon, or you may not get in, as they are very popular, especially in the summer.

If you need any specific info, please send us a PM. (y)

Cheers, and good luck with the planning. :)

Jock (& Rita). :)
