Hi - I’m thinking putting solar into our Adria Twin, it looks like it is prewired for solar (there’s a cable under the driver seat marked as solar which is not connected, but would clearly link straight into the split charge / electrical control unit). But what I don’t know is where the wiring goes to, does anyone know which part of the roof lining I should start investigating to find the other end of the wiring loom ?

Thank - Padders

Not Adria, but my Rapido solar prewiring has connectors in the top of the wardrobe so might be worth checking your high level lockers.
I didn't use the prewiring as its rather thin.

Do you have a wiring diagram. Our Chausson showed it on there and I found it in a void at the end of the kitchen cupboard.
I would be surprised if it was in the roof lining it would be difficult to access. Do you have any high level sockets or a high point ready for a TV they would be likely places. Mine was a red 4mm square cable.

I have an Autotrail and the wiring goes back to the PSU.

Guys - many thanks for your replies, I will have a poke about in the high level cupboards tomorrow and see what I can find, we don't run a TV but there is a sticker in one cupboard indicating tv feed could be hidden behind it - I hand't thought about solar being there too. Thanks also for the tip about checking that the pre installed cable is up to the job - Cheers - Padders

The Solar cables for ours were hidden inside a metal heat proofing lump of ali conduit above the high Teck Tower Oven, they should be up near the roof somewhere, probably wound up tightly with cable ties and well hidden at the back of a cupboard.
If all else fails ask an Adria Dealer, they will know, as many have solar panels fitted at the dealers before collection.
Good luck.

We have an Adria twin. The solar wires go to the controller and directly to the battery terminals in ours. It’s worked perfectly for 4 years.
