Hi all. I understand that when it detects frost it dumps the water out of the heater tank. However, do you use this system to empty for winter storage? Also, does the supersonic have tank heaters? Thanks

i use the dump valve if i want to get rid of the heater water. I also blow through the taps to remove any water in the lines.

i would have though the the supersonic will have trace heating on the waste tank ( our Coral does) either warm air or a heater in the tank. the fresh tank is inboard so no heating.

if the waste has an electric trace heater there should be a switch on the control panel, if it has warm air there will be a slider type change over valve in the warm air heater line somewhere ( ours is on the side of the bed that the heater is under.

Ok cool thanks, more reading and learning needed for me. The manuals take up a full storage box!!

the fresh tank dump is inside the tank itself.
The fresh and waste water dump switches are on the dashboard, it was just dumping the water heater that I needed to check. Thanks though

Yes trip it manually to drain the hot tank there will also be a drain tap on the pressurised side if the system. Mine is close to the pump it's just a small lever that you lift. Also find your filter and accumulator vessel if you have one make sure those are drained. They are all in the picture. All taps should be left open halfway between hot and cold.

Adrian, did you find the frost protection valve, I’ve asked the dealer but so far nothing, it’s not located near the alde 3030

Dont forget to remove the bowl from the filter adjacent to the pump in the garage, ours froze and cracked last year and had to buy the whole filter unit at about £15

Thank you, however in the Supersonic the pump is located beneath the bottom kitchen draw as is the filter bowl, as you state the pump is located in the garage in the Sonic 810.

All drained down now until next weekend, have fun all
