enough to know i shouldnt touch things i know nothing about ....
This thread is probably only relevant to 670 SLT owners, or other Adrias that have the bathroom across the whole back of the motorhome, with the door in the middle.

we have been having a problem closing the door into the frame and tried lots of things, always thinking its a levelling problem. Since having rear air however i have been able to ensure the motorhome is perfectly level and the door still wont shut, without a bit of 'force', so i discovered its not a levelling issue.

i decided to take some measurements of the door frame and both the top and the bottom have a width of 50cm, however a measurement of the middle shows 49.5cm - a difference of 5mm, which although small does indicate an 'issue'.

i have checked the outer walls and they are pretty much flat with no bulges or indentations and if there were it wouldnt just push one part of the internal wall in the middle, so i am thinking that either the frame has swollen in the cold weather and will return to normal or that the frame has bowed for some reason. The top of the frame isnt attached to the internal ceiling and so the top is fine and not bowing, so its not a roof issue! perhaps the frame fixing to the bathroom wall has worked its way loose

The frame itself is actually solid timber, so i could potentially 'remove' some of the frame and make all measurements equal down each side.

so i DO have solutions, but wont rush into any of them, but was wondering if anyone else had had a similar issue and how they resolved it .......?? Its not an emergency and we can live with it, but would rather fix it than leave it.

We had an Adria with the bathroom as you have. I had the same problem over winter. Come the summer all ok. I used to take the door off when we ended our season and kept it in the house. Not ideal but I couldn't find another solution. I did try sealing the top and bottom of the door to try and stop moisture getting in but it didn't really help.

Thanks for the response, in our case its not the door its the frame, although perhaps i should also check the door itself!!! however i suspect its the same cause, ie swelling. As the frame is solid wood i suspect its liable to swelling, but will hopefully return to normal, which is why i am not rushing to plane down the frame return.

It is annoying though LOL, but i will def go and recheck the door itself as it might be part of the problem.

i checked the door and its not showing any signs of swelling, nor is it out of square, so its looking like it is an issue with the frame itself, though still not sure why it would only be around the area of the middle of the frame ....

I think you are saying the door frame doesn’t go to the roof, but is the top and bottom fixed to something, and the middle isn’t? So when the wood expands in length it has to bow, as the top and bottom is fixed?

Just a thought.

we had same problem during winter months,
does yours have the small curved shelf above the side of each bed? if you do check its secure as that holds the shape of the frame at mid point.

Absolutely no help whatsoever except to say our Rapido is the same layout and the door and frame fit no matter what the season or weather so it doesn't sound like it's the overall body flexing that causes it

We had the same problem with our 670slt. Never had any problems in the summer though.

One problem to be aware of and it did cause us some concern is because of the way the door lock operates. You can/could get locked in the bathroom when it’s a tight fitting door.
It happened to the other half twice because the magnetic door lock would not open. Carry a strong magnet. Once I had to force open the gap to gently get the lock to pull back with a couple of knives gently working the lock back.
Fortunately it never happened when I was inside.
Also happened on the other coral we had.
Poor design
It only happened when the door was tight fitting

Thanks for the responses. We've also posted in an Adria forum and we are not alone with the same problem!

Most solutions were to sand down the bowed part of the frame itself (as it's solid wood) and restrain, those who have done it say they don't have the issue now.

It seems to be the area above the mattress on all those affected. Ours is the same, so we're not too concerned that it's an issue specific to us now!

I tried to see where the frame was secured to the bathroom wall, but can't see any fixings, so I suspect it's just glued to the wall on the non hinged side and the adhesive has 'failed' allowing it to separate from it's fixing

I will check this out before resorting to sanding it down.
