We inherited an awning on our previous van and barely used it. I've been forced to relinquish grandad rights and now have a 'lightweight' Exsis. We decided against an awning when we bought it 6 years ago to save payload but increasingly hot summers in Spain, Italy and the Balkans have us on our knees! Looking for recommendations for a rollout awning and installer in the Midlands, i.e 50 miles or so around Nuneaton.

Why not get one of these - not a heavy as a roll-out, but just as useful…..

You’d need to get an awning rail attached to your ‘Van but then you could add different awnings as required….. (y)
(We never used our wind-out awning after I bought this Sunncamp Swift awning)

Fit a caravan awning rail along the the top of the side where a wind out awning would go. Slide in an Isabella Sunshade. Comes with a couple of adjustable poles, peg out and your done. Much lighter than a wind out and can be scunched up into a a small space. Poles slid in somewhere.

Just buy a quest pop up. No need for an awning. (y)
We use our fiamma so seldom we had though of removing it for the weight saving, but the remembered we slot the vango in a couple of times a year as grandkid accommodation.the pop up is great other makes ar available.
