Adjusting Bolero 722fb Privacy Room Poles

We have a swift bolero 722fb and have bought a privacy room to fit our f45s roll out awning we have tried to put it up for the first time this weekend and found that the material to lock into left side and right side poles are about half a cm short each side can you move the legs in slightly we’ve looked but nothing seems to move

It might pay to wet the material a bit to see if it will stretch then leave it assemble to dry, we had similar problem some years ago obviously depending on the type of material.
