I have a pilote pvc with 320 ah lithium.the van is fitted with a dolphin booster 12/25 which runs the compressor fridge and 25ah to the leisure battery.
25a is not enough charge for the driving I am doing so need to up the charging rate.
Can I fit another B2b into the system 40a probably enough depending on the alternator output.
I have a sterling 60a b2b but I don't have any where to put it with god enough ventilation so I need something smaller.
One solar panel on roof and not much room fore more so B2b is priority.
Thanks.steven.

Certainly Votronic say that theirs can be doubled up in parallel. I imagine your alternator could cope fine with the 50A? Not sure but I think only the bigger Votronic units have an integral fan so with a smaller one you will have to think about airflow) ventilation.

I had read before about doubling up chargers.
Would there be any issue using two different model/make/size of charger.or is it just more power going to the battery.
Thanks.

I don't know but I suspect it wouldn't matter - not really different to having B2B and solar controller both supplying the battery on a sunny day whilst driving

Votronic 30A is small and the stats suggest it's very efficient. It has a fan if it does get warm.

I've got one, but I've not yet fitted it. My factory fit EBL seems to be giving me 15-20A when the engine is running. Between that and my relatively small 175w solar panel, my lithium battery has stayed topped up after a week of grid. I guess we're actually pretty light users. Might need to fit the Votronic this autumn though when there's less sun and we go touring for a few weeks.

After 5 weeks in France, lots off grid we have found our 2x30amp votronics invaluable. We only have room on the roof for a 120w panel and it’s coped well if we are careful.
However when using the lithium to power the induction hob, coffee machine, hairdryer aircon etc we could use 70/80 amps a day! Topped up by the b2b when moving on the next day.

I've an odd user. We carry a couple of laptop, tablets, phones, various batteries, drone and other gizmos. But they're all relatively low power and charge on USB C (at 30w with a 12v supply). Gas hob, gas oven, 3 way fridge, mocka pot for coffee. Don't have a need for an inverter.

If we're still remote working from the van in the winter, I might need more juice. But at the moment my 280Ah lithium is way bigger than it needs to be. And I'm not wanting for generation either.

My compressor fridge seems to be the main pretty constant drain.
A good warm sunny day the solar just about breaks even with the fridge running.thanks.

I also have the Votronics 30A b2b, bought on the basis is is very small has an integral fan and if required a second is easily added. It also is small enough to fit in a space under the floor next to the CBE 300 unit.
