I keep mine in the garage at home for weeks and never had a problem.
I also carry a 10 litre drum in the van garage at all times also without any issue

Top on in the dark 12 mths + if worried use an anti crystal additive...

We just wait until the van tells us it needs it, and it seems to take the full 10l every time when that happens.

Doesn't matter what you do it Wil almost certainly go wrong anyway and the manufacturer are fully aware of this ...hence the recent extended sort of warranty!!!

We add a buy and add a fresh 5 litres as soon as the tank will take it.

There’s lost of places where you can buy it, and most vehicles have a 12-15L tank, so fill with a 10L can when it needs it. Even cheaper if you find filling stations with bulk pumps, usually beside the HGV diesel pumps.

This year in Spain units travelling down in January had a record failure due to adblue problems. Most had bought cheap adblue which is bound to cause issues. Also never buy adblue that is on display on a garage forecourt. It could have been in the light for weeks.

The point of my post was - we keep it full. - never needs more than 5L.

and have none in storage perticularly, none open.

My mate does some driving for Owens in Wrexham. They have two types of trucks, MAN and Volvo. Instructions are to fill the adblue on the MAN when they get back and it hot, the Volvo's are filled when they cool down.

I've just finished a bulk buy (it was cheap) At least 18 months. Might have been longer. No noticeable issues.
