I have recently started using a VPN. I am getting advertisements which are obviously put on by the VPN because they are in Dutch.

If I also put on an adblocker will it catch those type of adverts as well as others?

Is this on a phone or laptop?

If you mean adverts in your Web browser, I should think it would work.

Easy enough to install, and also disable if it doesn't work.

Try using the "Brave" browser, it has a built in ad blocker.

Doesn’t Brave just substitute publishers ads with their own? I dropped Brave when they announced all the blockchain nonsense.

nicholsong as CAB96 and Chris say, testing the ad blocker or other browsers is the best way to find out and completely risk free. The VPN however is not risk free. Some of them are spyware and worse - make sure it’s a reputable supplier/host.

I have disabled that VPN and am back on Chrome via our local network, whatever that is. I have reinstalled Adblock for Chrome which had expired and now all is good.

Thanks for help.
