Hi,

Does anyone know definitively if the new 2025 Ford/Bailey/Alora auromatic is fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, or just Cruise Control?

Took delivery yesterday, drove 2 hours home, but could not get the Cruise Control into Adaptive mode

Thanks for any help with this

Regards
JP

I don't know myself, but someone else might.

This is what the Ford Transit info says on their website, https://www.ford.co.uk/vans-and-pickups/transit/features#

ADVANCED ASSISTANCE TECHNOLOGIES

Standard on Bus technology features include Pre-Collision Assist 2.2, Lane Centring, Blind Spot Assist, Cross Traffic Alert , Reverse Brake Assist, 360 Degree Camera, parking sensors, and Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (including stop-and-go for automatic transmission only)‡‡.

I don't know if there were any changes affecting ACC between 2024 and 2025 models but you can check which model year yours really is by looking at the tenth digit of the VIN, R=2024, S=2025.

My guess (and it is only a guess ...) is not. I looked on Baileys website and the automatic gearbox is listed as an at cost option. You would need to do a lot more - cameras, radar, etc. to make it Adaptive Cruise control. Also their "top of the range" Motorhome is only listed with Cruise control. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I didn't realise that the major commercial camper manufacturers used such a basic base vehicle.

That sounds as if the specification that I ordered for the base vehicle for our current camper is quite good if that's how Baileys and others offer their creations.
