Adapter/reducer

Hi all,
Can anyone give me a source and description for an adaptor to fit my laptop to my old but solid lighter charger, which is set at 19v which matches the laptop.
PC world and Mapelan can't help.

The "Lighter Charger" appears to have interchangeable tips. Do you not have these as 3.5mm tends to be a common one.
Does it definitely step the voltage up from 12v to 19v?

Thanks guys, yes, it's set at 19v with a separate 5v USB. Unfortunately it came with the MH and no other attachments. Don't know how to check polarity, useless with electricity.

OK, maybe I got a wee bitty confused. I thought you were talking about pluging into a cigarette lighter socket!
Anyway, if the tip does pull out from the lead search "Laptop Adapter Tips" in e-Bay. You'll need to make sure you get the same pin to lead connection though as there are a number of different ones.

Several manufacturers of these transformers will send you out the tip you require if you contact them directly. If your transformer still has a label you might be about to track them down and ask.

It's an old Bk universal car adapter for laptops, Google isn't coming up with anything. Must be ancient...solid though!

And....it has to be 5.5mm off the car charger reduced to 3.5mm into the laptop, so the first eBay suggestion from Flemenca is too small, but thanks anyway.

The tip on "Lighter Charger" looks like it pulls out of the socket on the cable.
It appears to have 2 pins (quite a common format) however you need to measure the centres and diameter of these pins as you get different versions.

Well there's quite a selection there and not expensive, I'll order them when I get back...one of them must fit.
