Just had my renewal through which comes effective 2nd feb. while reviewing my data applicable to my account i noted two things that may be of interest to other ADAC memebers and be useful as long as we are able to remain members.. ( please this is information only and not intended to start a discussion on brexit related matters )

1. their new web site translates to English and allows you to input data of vehicles and contact details ahead of any potential breakdown, linked to you memebership number so the call centre has first hand information they are likely to need about you and your vehicle / vehicles.

2. the new App downloadable onto pc or andriod and apple.
this automatically comes up in English, you input your data as above, you can request assistance via the app which gives the opps centre your location and contact details and the type of assistance you require.
you can then track the progress of your call out and status of this on the app. ( a bit like you track the amazon delivery man).

looks as if it could be fairly efficient. there is also an emergency contact that can be activated and puts you directly in touch with ADAC should you need to do so.

i have sorted both out on my account and the app on my phone..

although i hope i will not be needing either anytime soon.

hope this is of help to others..

hi it did it automatically when i logged in my user name and password

ADAC app is in the app store and mine loaded to my phone in English automatically, but has a setting page that allows you to change it to English if it needed

Got that Phil, I was thinking that there was a means of changing the language on the ADAC WEBSITE from German to English, as there is a wealth of info on there and google translate is a bit tedious.

Not sure whether you're saying the web site or the app is in English. Went to the website from my renewal link and the log in page was all German. Logged in and.... still all in German. So went to the App Store and there are about 5 different apps. Downloaded the one marked "SOS" and it downloaded all in German.
So can some kind poster please clarify and perhaps tell me how to get the English pages. At the moment doing the tedious Google translate but not much use in the event of a breakdown etc.
Thanks.

It does not seem to accept the style of UK number plates even if I put in spaces for the "missing letters" it seems to be seeking. Maybe it is programmed just for the German/Continental style of plate?

Enter the first 2 letters under 'town' then click again for the next category and enter the numbers and 3 letters.
