Just getting MH ready for trip when I topped up with Adblock and when throwing container away noticed the date of 10/23 on the container. Ant advice on wether I should be concerned appreciated

I'd be inclined to fill the tank to the brim with new AdBlu to dilute the old stuff as best as possible.

It all depends on how it's been stored.

If it's been in a cool dark place then it will last beyond it's sell by date.
if it's been out in bright sunlight on a garage forecourt for weeks, then it starts to crystallise.

You really do not want urea crystals in your engine. At best the AdBlue plumbing system can be dismantled and karshered out.
At worst they have to replace the entire AdBlu plumbing system

(In my case they cleaned it out, it lasted about 3 weeks before it had to go back and they replace the entire AdBlu plumbing system, luckily all under warranty)

Adblue doesn't go into the engine. It just does into the exhaust. I guess if it crystalises it could damage the Adblue plumbing, (maybe the catalytic converter) but it won't damage the engine directly.

True.
However a problem with a faulty AdBlu system is gives you a mileage countdown before the engine stops.

The first time it crystalised in my system I had 1,000 mile countdown.
The second time I had a 250 mile countdown.

Luckily I was going down to Cornwall (275 miles) in the Motorhome, so I was able to drop off the little van and tell them I don't want it back until it's fixed and they have driven over 100 miles in it to test it.
It took a main dealer over 3 weeks to get it back to me!

I think this advice is all a bit drastic!

I have only seen manufacturer dates on AdBlue containers. It is well within the year assuming it has not been left on a table in the sun for the last 6 months.

I queried date with Halford's and they confirmed it is manufactured date not "use by'.

Just got the container out of recycling and there are two dates produced date and expiry date, luckily the 10/23 was production date and expiry 10 /24.

Thanks for all the advice

Always keep the adblue brimmed less chance of crystallisation problems.
