AA or AXA Assistant

Which euro / UK breakdown service, comfort is with the AA/DAS and Caravan Guard is with AXA both seem to have bad reviews on Trustpilot both included with premium , Comfort £488 EU and UK Caravan Guard £456 UK but only 9 months EU cover , help me make my mind up please.

I think it's pot luck on the local breakdown service that gets called out.

Our campervan wouldn’t start two weeks ago in southern Spain. We are with Caravan Guard and used their breakdown service AXA. The breakdown company attended within an hour and took it away on a flatbed. It then had to be taken to a Fiat garage in Sevilla. Communication with Axa was good as they gave us a direct line to keep in touch re progress. Any enquiry by us to them had to be directed to their Spain branch which did seem to delay a reply. Overall we were happy with the result but hopefully won’t have to use them again!!

Not quite the answer you’re looking for but we get AA breakdown cover for Europe bundled with our Nationwide flex plus account for £13 a month our Adria twin is covered. So cheaper than your quotes and I get comprehensive travel insurance and phone insurance

But it has change recently so cover doesn’t suit everyone we were happy with comfort when we had a breakdown and as for travel insurance it was cheaper for us to take an independent travel insurance than have an upgrade nationwide.
