A true 'Why not to be a carravaner' story.

I was actually amazed while on that aire in albufera yesterday just how many people with motorhomer trundle off to the toilet and use their showers.

I'd much rather use my own facilities.

I also couldn't believe the people taking their dishes up to do them in sinks

Madness

Do the people who won't use the bathroom in their caravans also refuse to sleep in the bed or cook in the kitchen? Same logic. Perhaps they spend their whole holidays sat in the awning (surrounded by their barbecue parafernalia and big washing up bowls) that took them hours and a divorce pending to erect. Perhaps they don't use the brakes on the car because they might wear them out? Never take the polythene off the seat covers and sit in their own bum sweat? I really don't get it, how you can pay for something then not use it.

If we're staying somewhere with decent facilities then we'll use them - it saves having to fill/dump water and empty the cassette so often. But we've no problem using our own if its more convenient.

Same as we sometimes eat out rather than using our own cooker.

Everyone has a fetish. The hot weather appears to have brought out some very strange postings. My wife thinks the cooker is an ornament as do the funster toilet club.

The same applies when you are paying for site facilities (toilets/sinks/showers etc) so why not use them.
Why pay for them

That opens up a WHOLE other wasps nest lol.

That's why I have a motor home personally
All I need is a tap and drain once every 8 or 9 days

Imagine having a good chin wag and the drink is flowing the toilet facilities are 50mtr away, with my bladder I would have done 1000mtr before bed and 100mtr after going to bed ?

I wonder how many MH builders get requests to substitute the toilet/shower for a wine cellar?

What do people do half way through a journey if they need a shit? Hold it till the next MacDonalds or Tesco 50 km down the road?

I do expect answers from those who will not use their loos for that.

Geoff
My mate used to be like that, him and his misses would put a cork in it until they found a restaurant for lunch.

If I need to go, I need to go straight away.

Us Funsters do like a good toilet thread. :ROFLMAO:

PS. Having a SOG we also don’t use those expensive and ‘orrible smelling chemicals either. :) [/QUOTE said:
You just pass the smell onto your neighbours!

Even poor old Samson couldn’t hold on to it and he was very strong???

Our SOG outlet is on the roof so the nasty nifs drift over our near neighbours and descend on to those a little further away.
Our neighbours get the blame, not us.:devil:::bigsmile:

Richard.
If the roof lights open you get your own back. :ROFLMAO:

Depends on what we have to wash, BBQ bits, greasy pots, much easier to do in the larger sinks with provided hot water, more space too especially for those with little or no draining room, washing up for 5 is a nightmare in our little sink.

We didn't use the shower either in our caravan... always used the site facilities

Perhaps if we ever try wild camping with a MH we might be forced into a rethink
Yesssss... but why ?

Aye I don't have 5 folks washing up to do..
Dogs clean greasy pots and I would never wash a bbq it's like a wok not meant to be washed ....cleaned with fire lol

Because SWMBO decided she preferred to use the on site facilities... go figure
I would much prefer to know who's but had been there before me !

Haha Martin always does. The showers and toilets (so I have to cos he does the emptying) and the washing up. (I don't do that bit but I do get them to dry when they come back)!

(I think he likes to go to chat to all the other (usually men) also doing the washing up, and I think they just do it to go for a chat (moan)!!!

It's a cadac not a real BBQ so does need a swill, we stopped eating at a freinds house after seeing them give the paella pan to the dog after we had had ours. Put John right off.

Ha ha the dog just cleans the food scraps off before it gets a proper wash. Makes washing up easier though the waters still clean when I'm finished ?
