A poll regarding Thetford Bash..

Just had what may turn out to be a fairly big blow..
The Rugby club failed to put the booking in the book..

There is a dog show booked for the same weekend..

That gives us two options.
Either move the date to the first bank holiday in May, or share the venue with the dog show..

Me, I am happy to share it, but am just seeing
1) If the dog club are happy to share
2) What folk think of moving the date.
3) cancel altogether

John I voted for shared but to be honest I don't mind if the date moves.

I voted for change, either BH suits us, but I'm sure we wouldn't be attending if it was to be swamped by dogs.
We have just enough normally.

You speak the truth, we were booked with the bike on a ferry mid May one year, and on the day, snow outside, so hasty switch to car.

And a few years later, same time, heading for Italy on the bike, without vignette, there we were staring at a wall of snow on one of the passes.

More like 3 weeks John! That makes a helluva difference to us folk heading north from the sun!

I have tried to find other venues that fit all the bill but everywhere either wants silly stupid money, has NO facilities or in one case would not allow any games and were not keen on 'biker types'

Of course they have refused to share, they don't want us winning their prizes. Really as its the venues fault they should make the dog show change their date. :thumb::thumb::thumb: but I cant see that happening as its a good earner for them.

Either date is ok by us , wouldn't want to see it cancelled, if you really need to swap venues The Ram in Brandon hold the odd rally, we had a meet there last year with the wild camping forum.
