been to Montferrand, or very near to at least, on the canal du midi, the highest point it reaches and a very elaborate (for the 1600's at least) means of keeping enough water in the canal

but these trees were planted for no other reason than to look good, they form a complete circle with this path through the middle

I'm not a regular visitor to pubs so not up to date with current gizmos. I spotted this one tonight in a local bar/restaurant and wondered if they were also found in the UK?

Sorry, don't know how to rotate on this Hudl.

Not much warmer in Herts today either, Who owns the mines now, is it the Chinese or the yanks.

Sorry, I missed this question.
It's the Lulo Mine run by Lucapa Mining, predominantly Australian but with other investors. Huge diamond output but I guess very little benefit reaches the Angolan man in the street.

Thanks GW interesting, just looking at google, I guess that your son will be involved in the development of this new mining project. Enjoy the rest of your holiday...

www.skytem.com/airborne-geophysics-3/

Like a giant Time Team geophys survey except this one covers 3500 Kms of grid flying.

Been hot here today but did get to the local game park and will post some more aaaaaah pics later

Nice pub stop in Norwich, right next to the river and 10 minute walk to the centre.
Better still, they have a Steak offer on tonight, of two steaks for the price of one, with free bottle of wine thrown in.
So, will sleep well tonight:)

Very nice! Can anyone take a mh there?
Lots of places Cliffdale to wildcamp a few signs saying no overnights but lots of Spanish vans do.
Miles of tracks all along the coast line with plenty of stopping points.
