A photo of the day thread

We did our usual 3 mile walk today - even though I have the lurgy and my lungs were on fire - but Little Miss Millie had to be tired out somehow - hope you're having a lovely birthday @Mousy Dawn xxx

View attachment 144278 A big thumbs up to Wildbill for donating this uke to Jims charity which I won and received today p.s. I know I am probably holding it wrong that's because I have no musical talent what so ever. ;)
Looks good Howard - get onto some uke club websites @Janine and Barrie's is a good one - and print off some easy songs. Also look for clubs in your area and get playing!

World Uke Domination is one step closer @Janine ! (y)

Unless you are on a lh one or in a mirror .. I THINK it's the wrong way round ...but I could be wrong. I have had one for yonks and yonks but don't play.

Howard, turn it round so the stringy bits are against your jumper and strum the back of it. I'm sure it will sound a lot better. :dance2:

Thanks very much CWH. I decided 2 year ago I needed a new hobby. So went out to get a smallish digital slr for taking snaps. I now need a big bag to hold all me lens, tripod, monopod etc. But I really enjoy it, now I can just loose meself for hours out in the fields.

So I'm now heavily involved in Northern Soul forums, Motorhome forums and photography forums. Conclusion, it doesn't matter what you do you'll encounter some real arseholes who will argue about any detail. But at the same time you will meet some great people who will go out of their way to help you. I'm not sure where I'm going with that statement except to say the 2nd bottle of wine is kicking in.

Cheers Al.
You don't know Jeff Wilks by any chance? (Not in the arsehole category)

Spent a night on a car park near the Devil's Dyke in Cambridgeshire. To think the Saxons built this with only human diggers is quite astonishing. Lovely late sunshine on Sunday along the Dyke and then freezing cold fog on Monday, when I walked along Reach Lode (but not quite all the way to the Cam).

Although the event was just before Christmas, I only picked up this newsletter today to find my son in his Unimog on the cover ! When I was working on it yesterday, we found a few pinholes in part of the lower exhaust, that explains the fact it looks steam powered going by the exhaust emissions.

The damage to the coast road from last weeks storms between Albir and Altea, it is closed to traffic but remains usable by pedestrians and bikes.
Cheers

Spent a very cold weekend at Moreton in Marsh. You certainly find the draft points on a PVC on weekend like this. However wrapped meself up and got out with the camera. Unfortunately the goldcrests wouldn't sit long enough to get a decent picture of them but did get to capture these.

Thanks Kath. You might like this one as well. It's a nuthatch cleaning itself, all fluffed up. I didn't have chance to get a really good capture but managed to rescue this one with Photoshop Elements.
