OK, so we are looking at a Rapido with an, uprated to, 4000kg Max weight.

We asked the stealer to weigh it today, without a driver, and it was 3340kg.

It already has air suspension, hydraulic levelers, 2 x hab Batteries, 3 x solar panels and a hab air con unit fitted.

We weigh around 165kg, Inc dog!

Full fuel 85kg

Full water 130kg (no sites!)

Gasit 50kg

Sat dish 15kg

This leaves us with 215kg for clothes, food, bikes etc.

Does that sound like a reasonable figure to work with?

NB I am fully aware that there are loads of 3500kg vans around, with shocking payloads, even brand new ones, driving around

I would say that's sufficient so long as the remaining capacity is where you need it, mainly over the rear axle - did they do individual axle weights?

I've not seen the printout yet, they just messaged me with the weight.

I told them to keep the printout, so I'll ask.

You will probably bin the sat dish soon, old hat as most now use mobile/mifi download for TV. 130Kg of water is the best part of thirty gallons, are you sure you need to travel with a full tank, same with the fuel. Consider travelling with less water and enough fuel to get there. I often travel full fuel but 1/4 water, then as I have burned off a lot of fuel on arrival can now afford to add full water. I find I carry different things summer to winter, no blow up canoes but more clothes etc.
