This article in the Guardian describes a 3-night trip around the Cairngorms in winter. They only managed one night actual motorhoming, but the locations are described well. I think they must be novices dipping their toes in the water.

Tbh it's nothing more than an "advertorial". Still, it's a nice read.

Misses out on telling us that the Snow Road is usually the first to be closed (due to snow) in winter.
Misleadingly says "Scotland’s relaxed Outdoor Access Code means that anyone can explore the land here on foot" - without mentioning that there are limitations and that it's only with the permission of the landowner; and that the OAC only applies if access has been made by foot, bicycle, horse or water, and specifically NOT by motorised vehicle.
Also important to know that control of dogs legislation is much tighter than in England. (As is drink-driving legislation, but that's another story...)

Cairngorms NP is undoubtedly a truly beautiful area, but in proper winter needs someone much hardier and better prepared than these two - despite their visit being "hosted" by Cairngorms Business Partnership and Visit Cairngorms.
